Still pregnant.....

So, this is the first day of my 40th week (so, technically, I'm 39 weeks). I swear if I didn't make this baby come out she'd just stay in there forever. There are NO signs of labor and NO signs of this child wanting out!! Apparently, I've made it a little too cozy in there!

Well, we're at the end....and basically nothing is all that great at the end (except for the small shimmer of light at the end of the tunnel). I've taken to sweating. Yep, lots and lots of sweating. And I don't sweat....EVER! But, now I do- at work, in class, at home, at night, during the day, in the shower....you name it, I'm sweating. I'll get done seeing a patient at school and I'll realize that sweat has gone THROUGH MY SHIRT!!! .....on my BACK!! The inside of my mask is drenched....and it's kinda gross. So, I'm not too fond of the whole I-feel-like-my-body-temperature-is-140-degrees crap.

I've also had the privilege of getting a few new fun surprises. Yep, it happened....stretch marks (told you, Carmen). I didn't have any just one week ago, and now I've got a few on each side of my hips. I mean....my skin couldn't hold out for 3 more days?!?!? Ugh. Now I'm just hoping my elastin (it's what makes your skin stretchy!) will re-boost and pull through Saturday for me. I'd really rather not get anymore.

So, we put the car seat in this past weekend. I'm not sure we did it right...it seems a little wobbly...we'll definitely have to get someone who knows what they're doing to look at it! Patrick also read that we're supposed to boil all of her pacifiers for at least 5 minutes before the first use...so, that's what we did last night....very exciting! :) So, now she's got sterile pacifiers and a wobbly car seat, and apparently that makes us ready for this baby. So, come on Ava.....we're waiting!
