So, I finally got up out of the bed! It was much harder than I thought it was going to be! I've actually had some feelings of contractions lately. I finially was able to sleep for an hour, and of course, I was awoken to .....contractions?!??! Again?!? That's what happens when your uterus is trying to get back to the right size. Only thing is that the contractions are much stronger when you're breastfeeding than when you're not. Good news- your uterus shrinks faster! Bad news- it hurts b/c it's contracting so much harder than usual. So, anyway, that whole story was to preface this....I got up and actually walked to the bathroom for the fist time since my surgery. It was VERY slow going and quite a bit more uncomfortable than I thought it would be. But after I was up for a little while, I just felt so much better. I had gotten so stiff! I hadn't walked since I got my epidural on Saturday at the beginning of labor! So, anyway, I must look like I'm 99 years old walking as gingerly and careful as I am. But, I guess that's how it goes!
At least I have my prefect little baby to look at....Patrick really loves her too and is getting much more comfortable holding and talking to her! Now we've just got to work on teaching him about diaper changing....

i bet it's so painful. no advise on that one. can't wait to see hear about him changing the first poopie diaper. it's interesting stuff!! so what happened during those last two hours that led to c-section?
I am so impressed you have already walked to the bathroom! Seriously, I had a hard time with that after my c-section. Again, Ava is beautiful! Greg, Sophia, and I look forward to meeting her!
