6 Week update!

Can you even believe that Ava is already 6 weeks old?!?! Well, not officially until tomorrow (Sunday). But still!! She is just so sweet....she's such a good little baby. She was with Patrick this last week. Just Daddy and Ava...they had a lot of fun hanging out together. Patrick really enjoyed it...I think more than he thought he would! It was a rough first day b/c Ava seemed to be very off with her nap and wake schedule. But after the first day, things settled down! I had a few long days this week, so I was away from her for up to 12 hours! That's HALF A DAY!! Torture! I was so happy to see her when I got home, and luckily, she was usually awake so I could get some play time! I think my days will get more predictable soon...it just seems to be a little crazy right now. Here's a pic of Patrick and Ava hanging out...She's grown like crazy this week! Eight days ago, Ava weighed 8 lbs even. We weighed her this morning and she's just over 8lbs 10 oz!!!! That is some serious growing in one week! And I know she's getting longer b/c all of her newborn onesies are looking very stretched! I can definitely tell that she's getting bigger...she feels heavier to me when I hold her. Still little...but much heavier than she was many weeks ago! Way to go Ava...our little fighter!

Patrick is just wonderful and ordered a new baby bath tub for me. My back was just killing me with the one we have. I would just bend over the tub on my knees....ouch! So, the new one fits right on the sink (fits a double or a single)! So, I can stand up and wash her perfectly comfortably! Here are some pics of her in her new bathtub. Patrick gave the baby carrier a test run today. Ava seemed to really like it after Patrick figured out how to get her in it! Look at those cute little arms and legs hanging out! This next week should be fun! Grandpop (Patrick's dad) and Michee are coming to visit us tomorrow! Grandpop can only stay for the afternoon, but Michee will be staying all week! What a treat! I think they'll both be shocked at how different she looks now! (And how big she is)! Grandpop hasn't seen her since she was only 1 day old, and Michee hasn't seen her since she was 8 days old!! There aren't too many pictures this week (I've been at work, and Patrick's in charge....that means WAY less pictures)! But here are a few if you'd like to take a look!
