Our First Doctor Visit- 9 1/2 weeks

Our first visit was on January 11th, 2007. I was 9 1/2 weeks along by then. Really, only one exciting thing happened during this visit...we heard the heartbeat! It was awesome! The nurse used some kind of doppler to hear the heartbeat. It took her about 2 minutes to find it (which, after the first minute and a half, I started to get a little worried), but finally, there it was!! 171 beats per minute!! There was actually a real, live baby in there! I didn't know how I was going to react- but when I heard the heartbeat, I smiled from ear to ear, and my eyes instantly began to water. It was awesome, and now I just want to keep going back to hear the heartbeat over and over! Everything else was pretty boring compared to that! We get to do a sonogram at the next appointment! Can't wait!
