Bella got Upgraded!!

She upgraded from the incubator to the crib!! YAY!! :) At the end of our visit today- they rolled in the crib and said they were switching her over! We'll have to see how she does at regulating her own temperature with no help at all. She sure does look all nice and snug swaddled like a little burrito! Just one more step to coming home! Don't get too excited though, because we're likely looking at 2.5-3 more weeks in the NICU if everything continues to go well...but, hey, it's a step, right?! We're on day 11 now....only 18 to 21 more. :/

I will admit that I was a little sentimental about losing her sweet little bed. She liked her little box. :) But, I'm glad that she's movin' up in the world. Well, she hasn't spit up her milk since the last post and she gained 14 grams!!! So, she's at 3 lbs 14.1 oz now! She weighs 1760 grams, and she's got to be a minimum of 2000 grams (4 lbs 6 oz.) to be able to go home. (Although, her neonatologist [pediatrician for preemies] said that he doesn't think her weight will keep her there- it will be her feeding). They weigh her once a day- at night- so, I'll call again tonight for another update. But she's making progress. Thanks for all the prayers.

Nursing attempts are still going very well- she is such a trooper. And it makes me SO happy!!

Daddy got to hold her for a while today- she looks pretty comfy all stretched out!
